The Holy Prophet of Islam ('s)

Peace be upon you, O messenger of Allah and the Mercy of Allah and blessings be upon you.

This talk is about the universal Sun Guidance, the saviour of humanity from the whirlpool of deviation and perdition, the prophet of Affection and blessings, Hazrat Mohammad Ibn Abdullah ('s).

On that blessed night, Mecca was showered with the divine light. The angels would descend in groups; the stars were shedding tears of joy in a twinkling way at the earth. It was as if the whole universe had become an eye and was looking and crying happily at Mecca and the house of Hazrat Amina (the mother of the Holy Prophet).

The newly born child was coming to this house at a time when his father Hazrat Abdullah had expired some months before but, tonight joy and happiness had appeared in this house.

The Almighty has favoured this house with a man who was going to create a mighty transformation in the history of mankind. At the rising of day break (Fajr), seventeenth of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the year of elephant, the Holy Prophet descended from the heavenly kingdom. With his appearance, the accursed shaitan was filled with sorrow and unhappiness.

The chains of ignorance and misguidance had been unlocked with the arrival of the Holy Prophet ('s). His able hands will shatter the cage of oppression, injustice and ignorance. On that auspicious night, a baby had set foot on this earth whose coming had been foretold by all the previous Prophets.

The Jewish and Christian scholars were anxiously waiting for his arrival. He had been named as "farqalith" in their holy books. (Farqalith is a Greek word. It means that his doctrine and aim will be remembered in a pleasant and nice manner. He will be eulogized and praised. It is in the same context of Ahmad and Mohammad). The followers of the Holy Book were knowing him as they were knowing his children's [Baqarah: 147].

At the dawn of his birth, every idol on this earth had fallen from its place. The Sassanian King of Fars called Kasra shivered. Its fourteen pillars cracked. The Sareh lake, which had been being worshipped for years by them, became dry. The fire temple of Fars, which had been burning for thousands of years became extinguished.

The Almighty created him with an adorned face and nurtured him with the best of character. Every body was shedding tears of joy and happiness while looking at him. Even his enemies would cry happily in secret. They would enjoy and relish at hearing his voice.

Mohammad-e-Amin

From the same childhood, the effects of Magnanimity and greatness were radiant in his luminous face. During his ('s) adolescent age, he was so honest and trustworthy that he ('s) was given the title of "Mohammad-e-Amin". Everybody would accept his arbitration and judgment. On one of these occasions, the Holy Kaaba had broken down. After the repair and renovation, the time had come to put the Hajar-ul-Aswad (the Black Heavenly Stone) in its place. Every tribe wished that the honour and fame of installing and fixing the Hajar-ul-Aswad in its place should be registered for their clan. They withdrew their swords and became prepared to stage a blood bath and combat.

An aged man was amongst them. He told them to sit patiently so that an arbitrator would give his verdicts. All of them accepted. He said that the first person who enters from the door of Masjid-ul-Haram will be the arbitrator and his judgment will be final and binding upon all of them. Everybody looked anxiously at the gate. Suddenly, Hazrat Mohammad ('s) entered. All of them became happy. They got up and expressed satisfaction and said that everybody accepts Mohammad Amin. Whatever he says will be accepted by us. The Holy Prophet ('s) spread his Aba (men's loose sleeveless cloak) on the ground and put the Black Stone amidst it. He took one representative from every tribe. He took one corner of the Aba and brought it near the holy Kaaba. The Holy Prophet ('s) picked up the Hajar-ul-Aswad with his own hands and put it in its place. In such a way, the Holy Prophet ('s) prevented a big war and blood bath and everybody was satisfied.

He was the most tolerant, patient, courageous, compassionate and generous amongst the people. He was benevolent towards the poor and the indigent people. He would never refuse nor deny the need and want of any needy person. If he was incapable of fulfilling their needs, he would appear and speak affably with them. He would caress and encourage them by soft and pleasant words.

The Jewish Revert

He would not reply badness and evil with the same answer. Rather, he would overlook it and forgive them. It is narrated that a Jewish person was staying near the house of the Holy Prophet ('s).

The Holy Prophet ('s), along with his companions decided to visit the sick Jewish neighbour. When the people informed the Jewish person that the Holy Prophet ('s) wished to meet him, he was filled with shame and prudishness. He covered his eyes with his bedclothes so that his eyes would not look at the eyes of the Holy Prophet ('s). The Holy Prophet ('s) sat near his bed. He ('s) patted him and spoke with him softly . He ('s) asked him about his health. The Jewish man was filled with shame and coyness. He repented from his past misdeeds, recited the Shadatain and became a Muslim.

He ('s) would observe the bonds of relationship with his ('s) family members. He ('s) would never refer or choose them over others. He ('s) would befriend the one whose piety to the Almighty was more.

He ('s) would never oppress or treat anybody unkindly. He ('s) was always smiling and cheerful. He ('s) was always the first person to say salaam and wish others. Nobody could precede him in these actions.

He ('s) had divided his time into three portions.
One portion was for the Almighty.
Another portion was for his family members and
the third part was for
his own self. He ('s) divided the section pertaining to his own self with the section pertaining to their needs and problems.

He ('s) would give remedies to the helpless people.

During the nights, he ('s) would give food to the poor people without letting anybody know it so that the  poor people would not recognize him ('s).

If enmity had arisen between two people, he ('s) would make friendship and peace between them.

In his ('s) gatherings and Majlis, voices would never be raised, would anybody abuse or say  indecent words to the others.

He ('s) would respect and honour the old people as well as the children.

He ('s) was always cheerful, soft natured and good-natured.

In behaviour and ethics, he ('s) had reached to such a lofty position so that amongst the people he ('s) was unparalleled and incomparable in social etiquettes.

He ('s) would always say that a Muslim is having a right and moral obligation over the other Muslim. This right prevents him from back biting his Muslim brother.

He ('s) would accept their invitations.

He ('s) would reply to their letters and if anybody would die, he used to participate in their burial processions and ceremonies.

He ('s) would say that if anyone was in a position to give loan, but evades and parries from this work, the said person has done an injustice towards the Muslims.

He ('s) would accord special attention towards cleanliness and hygienic matters.

He ('s) would always brush his teeth. He ('s) would say that if one brushes his teeth before offering his Namaz (prayers), then the rewards and Sawab of that Namaz would be seventy times more.

He ('s) would always keep short his nail fingers.

He ('s) would always comb his hair and keep it tidy.

He ('s) would always take a bath and use sweet odour and scent.

He ('s) would never spit on the roads and would always advise the people from refraining with such works.

He ('s) would always say that one should not commence eating food till he has become hungry, as the stomach is the house of every ailment. His food was very little.

He ('s) would think and ponder deeply. He would never speak unless replying or whenever the need arose. Whenever he spoke, he would always speak the truth and nothing but the truth.

He ('s) was full and comprehensive of the best qualities of goodness and worthiness.

Hara Cave

He ('s) married Hazrat Khadija ('a) at the age of twenty-five. He attained prophet hood at the age of forty when he was worshipping the Almighty in the Hara Cave.

He ('s) was very kind and generous.

He ('s) would grieve and express sorrowfulness at the disbelief and idol worshipping of the people. His ('s) grief was so much that the Holy Quran says.

"We have not revealed the Holy Quran to you that you may be successful."
[Taha: 2]

When he ('s) had become disappointed and discouraged from the guidance of people, he ('s) felt very heavy and the Almighty would pacify and sooth him ('s) thus.

"Therefore, let not their speech grieve you, surely we know what they do in secret and what they do openly." [Yasin: 76].

When the Almighty wishes to say about the great affection and fondness of the Holy Prophet ('s.) towards his people. He says:

"Certainly an Apostle has come to you from among yourself, excessively solicitous respecting you, to the believers (he is ) compassionate merciful"
[Tauba: 128].

The Almighty introduces the Prophet ('s) as a Universal example and pattern to follow for the entire humanity. It says;

"Certainly you have in the Apostle of Allah an excellent example for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much".
[Ahzab: 21]

The Holy Prophet ('s.) is to be obeyed from every aspect in this world and the Here after. On various occasions, the Holy Quran reminds the people and associates the obedience of the Almighty with that of the Holy Prophet ('s).

"And whatever the Apostle gives you, accept it, and from whatever he forbids you, keep back, and be careful of (you duty to) Allah, surely Allah is severe in retribution".
[Hashr: 7]

The Holy Prophet ('s) devoted and spent his whole life in the way of the Almighty. He ('s) would endeavour and struggle in his path and all of his ('s) thinking and meditation was for the Almighty.

Hazrat Fatema Zahra (S.A.)

The Holy Prophet ('s) had only one daughter. She was Hazrat Fatema Zahra ('a). Of course, he ('s) had other children who had expired during their childhood. He ('s) would advise and enjoin the people about the rights of his daughter Hazrat Fatimah as Zahra (S.A.). He ('s) would always say;

"Fatima is a part of my own self. Anybody who injures and tortures her has persecuted and tormented me. And anyone who torments me has tormented the Almighty. And anyone who make Fatima happy and cheerful has made me joyful and happy."

If the Holy Prophet ('s.) would recommend and enjoin upon the people about Hazrat Fatima ('a), it was not from his own self. But, these instructions and enjoinment were from the side of the Almighty.

"Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives"
[Shaura: 23]

We hope that with our love and friendship for the Household of the Holy Prophet ('s), we express our share of thankfulness and gratitude to the kind and affectionate Prophet of Islam.

We hope to remain with you till our next conversation. May The Almighty hasten the re-appearance of Imam Zaman ('a)
