Paradise
In the name of God Most Gracious Most Merciful
Holy Qur’an:
Garden of
Eternity, which they will enter: beneath them flow pleasant rivers:
therein they will have all they wish: thus doth God reward the
righteous. 16:31
Holy Qur’an:
God has promised
to Believers, men and women, Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell
there, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of everlasting bliss. But
the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of God. That is the supreme
triumph. 9:72
The Peak of Eloquence Imam Ali said:
If you take a
glance at Paradise you will begin to hate the pleasures of this life.
The life after death takes two forms. One is the life in Hell for
those who perform evil deeds. The second is the life in Paradise for
the people who did righteous deeds. The word Paradise is used for the
true bliss of the righteous. Since Paradise’s blessings cannot be
comprehended or perceived by our physical senses, then why does the
Qur’an refer to Paradise as a place of Gardens in which rivers flow?
These two descriptions of the gardens and rivers states what has
happened in the past compared to the materialization in the Hereafter
according to the spirituality of the present life. The idea that
faith, which is the water of spiritual life, is converted to rivers,
the good deeds, which come from faith, are the seeds that grow the
beautiful Gardens of Paradise.
