Short history of Hazrat Zainab’s birth and meaning of her name. Few words about her characters and her speech in different places.

Birthday of Hazrat Zainab (5th of Jamadi Awwal of the year 5 Hijri)

Hazrat Zainab, the respected and great Islamic lady is a renowned personality from the Household of the holy Prophet. Her father was hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (p.b.u.h.) and her mother was hazrat Fatima Zahra (p.b.u.h.), the daughter of the holy Prophet of Islam. On the fifth of Jamadi Awwal, 5 A.H., the great lady was born in such a distinguished and holy house.
Under the patronage and training of the infallible father and mother, and in the company of two infallible brothers (Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain), she grew up.
The holy Prophet named her as Zainab.
Due to her lofty position and perfection, she was given the title of Aqila – e- Bani Hashim. Imam Sajjad (p.b.u.h.) says about her, “She is a scholar who has not been educated by a human being”. (All her educations and trainings were done in the school of divine revelations).
Her holy presence was a great school for the girls and women. Her two sons (Aun and Mohammed) achieved the high status of martyrdom in the company of Imam Hussain (p.b.u.h.) during the tragic event of Karbala.
After the tragic episode of Karbala, the great lady was the place of refuge for the Prophetic Household. She developed leadership and Imamat of Ahlul Bait against the devil rulers of Umayyides.
Hazrat Zainab along with a gathering of captives was taken to the place of the evil Umayyides ruler Yazid. Yazid said that the Almighty killed your family members and He was unjust towards you. Yazid made this statement so as to remove the responsibility of killing the members of Household of the Prophet from himself. But Zainab replied him: “The Almighty never commits injustice on anybody. It is His creatures that commit injustice upon themselves.”
On this great day of the birth of Hazrat Zainab, we seize the opportunity to congratulate you.
