Sajjad (AS) After Karbala

By: Muhammad Wajahat Ali Shaikh - Vengeance110

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba!
My beloved baba,
Rose of Zahra-e-Marziah,
Martyred viciously on the land,
Known as Karb-O-Bala,
On Asr-e-Ashoora,

Baba!
I can’t stop grieving for you,
But let me tell you,
If Karbala is the plain of tribulations,
Then Shaam is the place where I lost all my patiences!

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba,
I complain you,
For leaving me alone,
On the plains which were unknown,
To the holy kinfolks,

Baba,
You should come and see your son,
Who in the state of tremendous sickness,
Has been heavily shackled,
Like an animal,
Who is extremely dangerous,

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba,
You had 72 strong men,
Who owned valor,
But look at your son Sajjad,
Surrounded by women, widow & children,
Possessing nothing than innocence!

Baba,
After your demise,
Your Sakina was shattered,
When she received a slap
Got her earring snatched,
By none other than Shimur,
After he learned she was your daughter

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba,
In the battle of Karbala,
You & Amu Abbas,
Owned a sword,
Which you used to defend,
The dignity of the prophet’s offspring,

Hence Baba,
Now look at your son,
Who was so helpless to defend,
The burning of the tents,
That housed the Aal-e-Mustafa,
By the blood thirsty mongrels,
Claiming to be Muslims,

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba,
My heart is aching excessively much,
So now I will sum it up,
In a sentence or two,
Which you won’t be able to handle,
And will definitely tremble,

Baba,
On Shaam-e-Gareeba,
The dignified women of the House of Murtaza,
Were scattered on the plains of Nainawa,
To save themselves,
From the evil Shimar & Hurmala,
Who with there armies,
Looted the dignities & rida,
Sacred to the household of Zahra,

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,

Baba,
I pray, I would have been martyred,
Verily on the same ground,
On which you had befallen
Than witness Mother Fizza,
Or your beloved Zainab-e-Kubra,
In a public without a Rida,

My heart aches,
When someone says,
Shaam Shaam Shaam,
