Value your tears

By: Sister Mardhiya

Imam Redha (A.S.) said:
O' Son of Shabib! Should you weep for Husain (A.S.) in the measure that tears roll down your cheeks, Allah would forgive all the sins committed by you, whether they be the great sins or the small sins and whether they be meagre or immense.

No shelter to hide my depressed soul,
no where to go besides the dark gloomy hole.
When I think back of those lovely days;
tears roll down my piteous face.
Farewell life,
Farewell my soul desire!
For they have now dressed me in my death attire.
The coarse sand weathering my skin,
as people place my body therein.
The horrific arthropods,
crawling onto my lifeless body;
not a single way of escape,
as I watch desperately.
A sudden illuminance draws upon me,
I wish I could rise and see!
Alas; blinded from world are my eyes,
my faith in the hands of a stranger now lies.
A beautiful scent spreads round my place,
'Open your eyes, oh beloved rise',
I looked onto her with extreme bliss,
'Kind Ma'am, light & company I solely had miss,
Days have passed by, I were lonely there . . .
what made a grand lady, as you to drop by here?'
A warm sound, so calm & sweet,
with her every word, my heart gently beat.
'I have come here to personally acknowledge you;
you are a blessed one, in many a few
remember, last Muharram you wept for Hussain?
I am the mother of that lonely Hussain.
That black shirt, that you wore on that day,
has cleared your route to Paradise for eternal stay.
For every tear, and every beat on your chest;
may Allah grant you success in this spiritual test'
With this I saw flowers blooming around;
in a garden of ease, myself I found.
