Sakina (as)

 By: Sister Fiddha

The vision of your sweet hands
Clinging to Zuljenah
Haunt your father in heaven.

When Fatima died Ali called his children
To say goodbye.
Hussain, your father was nowhere to be found
When finally he came into the room
He cried to her
Lifeless body
" Oh mother when
Maryam died she said
Goodbye to Isa,
I am greater than Isa and
You are higher than
Maryam
So say goodbye to me"
Ali and Hassan hearing this
Started crying
Suddenly two hands stretched out-
Fatima came back to life to hug her son.

Oh but the night you
Tried to search for
Your father
Oh the night when the burning tents
Were all you had as a guide
You cried out but couldnt find him
Amongst the lifeless corpses
And burning children
You screamed
FATHER FATHER FATHER
The wind spoke the word of your father to you
"Come to me my child"
It guided you
To your father's
Corpse
And like Hussain many years before
You cried out to him
And again two seemingly lifeless hands
Came to life- stretched out to hug you
Hold you close
While children were screaming
Yazid's men howling
Your fathers lifeless
Arms enfolded you protecting you
From your fate
For a while.

But what can I say of Sajjad's lifeless hands
Streched out-
To bury you
